This was my first ever-published piece of work; I was bloody chuffed to bits to have been involved in this exhibition organised by Capsule at the Custard Factory in Birmingham. It gave me confidence in myself and although I look at it now and see so many things that are technically wrong, it reminds me that even with my naivety, I was willing to put myself out there – and out there is scary. We all have to start somewhere and I’m still on my own creative journey.
